What we collect when you use this website, why, and what you can ask us to do with it.
Who we are
Jedson Composite Doors Ltd, Unit 31 Grange Lane Industrial Estate, Stairfoot, Barnsley, South Yorkshire, S71 5AS, is responsible for the information you give us. Questions about it go to [email protected] or 01226 321111.
What we collect
When you send a design or an enquiry we keep what you type in: your name, phone number, email address and address, the products you designed and any note you leave. We do not collect anything else about you through this website.
Why we use it
- To prepare and email your quotation, and to contact you about it.
- If you go ahead, to survey, make, deliver and fit your order, and to invoice it.
- If you have a trade account with us, to put the quotation on your account at your prices.
We use it because you asked us for a quotation (the law calls this taking steps before a contract), and, once you order, to carry out that contract and keep the records the law requires.
Who sees it
Our own staff. Our email is provided by Google and this website is hosted by Cloudflare, so your enquiry passes through their systems on its way to us. We do not sell or share your details with anyone else for marketing.
How long we keep it
An enquiry that does not go ahead is deleted after two years. If you order, we keep the order and invoice records for six years after the work is finished, as tax law requires.
Cookies
This website uses strictly necessary cookies and storage only. Nothing on it tracks you or shows you advertising, and we do not use analytics.
- Cloudflare, who host the site, may set a cookie (__cf_bm or cf_clearance) to tell people from automated attacks. It holds no personal details and lasts a short time.
- The designer keeps the products you add to your enquiry in your browser, so they are still there if you leave the page. They stay on your device until you send or remove them: nothing reaches us until you press Send.
- Your browser remembers that you have seen the note about cookies, so it does not show again.
- The Log in button leads to our staff system, which sets its own sign-in cookie for the people who use it.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it where we no longer need it. Email [email protected]. If you are unhappy with how we handle your information you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
